Education Ministry

It is important for all of God’s children to grow in wisdom and stature. At First Baptist Church of Mexia, we believe that there are several ways to gain knowledge of God’s Holy Word, the Bible.

Sunday School

Sunday School Meets Every Sunday at 9:00 am

Sunday School is the church organization used to reach people for Christ and to teach the Bible for application in toady’s world. Our Sunday School Ministry has classes for all ages and all walks of life. Whether you are a new Christian or have been born in the Church, there is a class for you. Discipleship Studies

Most Studies Meet on Wednesday Evenings

Discipleship classes focus on real-world applications of the Bible. There are many offerings throughout the year, including but not limited to Beth Moore Bible Studies, First Place, Men’s Study, the Pastor’s Study, and Team Kids. Check the First Page Blog on the home page for a current list of discipleship classes and meeting times.

Small Group Study

Some people are still searching, trying to understand who this “Jesus” is and why he should be their “Savior”. That’s okay! God is not looking for perfection. He is patiently waiting for you to decide to join Him. We know that you may not be comfortable in a Church environment or that typical Bible study times may not be convenient, so we encourage you to participate in a new ministry at FBC, Small Group Studies. If you are interested in joining a Small Group Study, give the Pastor a call or send him an e-mail to discuss which group may be best for you.

Self-Paced Study

If group study is not your thing, try a self-paced study! There are many options available on-line or check out one the great studies available through the FBC Library!
